A family story

Maison Durance is above all the story of a family passionate about perfume. In 1997, they took over a small farm in Grignan, in the heart of Drôme Provençale, where lavender flowers were already being grown and essential oil was being produced.

Inspired by the beauty of the golden hills and the endless lavender fields, the family imagines delicate creations that capture the soul of Provence in fragrances and refined gestures.

Nearly 30 years later, driven by the same desire to enhance the most precious natural fragrances and active ingredients of Provence, Nicolas Ruth and his teams create products that are ever richer in benefits and contribute to making Maison Durance shine throughout the world.

The origin of the name Durance

The house proudly bears the name of the river that crosses Provence and irrigates its fertile lands. This choice reflects the brand's attachment to its roots and the surrounding nature. Like the water that shapes landscapes, our creations transform interiors and enhance moments in life.
